DescriptionDescription: This specialist-led one day course focuses on current concepts surrounding tooth surface loss from diagnosis to treatment with hands on practical teaching. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the session students will be able to: • Understand the aetiology and diagnosis of tooth surface loss and the multifactorial nature • Clinically differentiate between physiological and pathological tooth surface loss • Understand and be able to apply the Dahl concept in Tooth Surface Loss management • Understand the limitations of the published methods of monitoring tooth surface loss • Understand the simple restorative (non-destructive) options available to monitor tooth surface loss • Understand the concepts of occlusal reorganisation, occlusal vertical dimension, biological width and crown lengthening surgery • Undertake a practical exercise to build up several anterior teeth and a posterior tooth with simulated tooth surface loss
