To finish of the semester we will be running a 4 day field trip to Brussels. This trip has been designed to encompass the broad range of subject areas that you have covered during your time on the foundation programme including law, government, economics and business.
The trip involves:
· A visit to the European Commission where we will be given a presentation on the role of the European Commission and a presentation on European Justice and Home Affairs.
· A guided tour of the Parliamentarium at the European Parliament.
· Visits to the Belgian National Bank, Living Earth and Cantillion Brewery.
· A guided tour and chocolate making workshop at Concept Chocolate.
We will be travelling from Plymouth to London by coach and from London to Brussels on the Eurostar. Please note that we will be returning to Plymouth late on the Friday night.
All transport, accommodation and scheduled trips will be covered by the University, however you will be responsible for funding all meals (with the exception of breakfast) and any extra activities you wish to do while in Brussels. A £50 deposit is required to secure your place, this will be refunded to you once you return from the trip.
