Description

The 54th Annual Meeting of the Society for Economic Botany will start on Friday 28th June 2013 and will run until Tuesday 2nd July 2013, at Plymouth University in Plymouth, south western England. The theme of the invited symposium is:

"What Is Our Message - And Are We Getting it Across?"

The conference will begin with optional pre-conference field trips concurent with the council meeting on Friday 28th June. Details of pre- and post-conference optional field trips are still being finalised. Paper and symposium presentation begin on Saturday, June 29th and continue until Tuesday 2nd July.

The Sherwell Centre is a tastefully restored building which was once a Church. It provides attractive high quality conferencing facilities with two lecture theatres, one with a grand piano, seating capacities of 250+, and an exhibition space.

The Sherwell Conference Centre offers two, spacious, custom-built lecture theatres with extensive AV facilities.

Accommodation

Plymouth University Summer Accommodation offers a good alternative to a city centre hotel. For guests attending the Economic Botany Conference, we are pleased to offer single ensuite bed and breakfast accommodation from £38.00 per night through the booking process.

Our rates include breakfast in one of our campus cafes, en suite single bedroom, towels and bedding, access to a fully equipped kitchen, complimentary gym membership (short induction required) and free internet access.
